Good food! The service has always been prompt and courteous. I stop by and eat whenever I am over this way.
Excellent food and service. They spoke to us as soon as. We entered even though there was no table space for three people My son his bacon was right on the cusp of being too done but I like crunchy bacon. My wife had crab cake Benedict and thought they were fantastic. Not sure what bread they use for the wheat toast but I would love to know if it is store bought or not. Excellent bread almost too good for toast.
This is a classic greasy spoon diner. Stools at the counter of 4 top booths. They will t dry to make it work for a group of 6 but come early if you're that big. Cash/check only, seat yourself, and some of the nicest waitresses with speedy service around. This was our second time in and we agreed that while it's good, it's almost TOO greasy. Pair that with a too hot griddle and you get some anemic looking pancakes (see photo). Sure they tasted fine but the look was meh and the gut rot feeling was strong from the heavy grease. Also not sure why the pat down the pancakes and chop the bottom while grilling. Ruins the fluff. Eggs and bacon were cooked well. My parter got chicken fried steak with thick slices of wheat bread and said it was fine. Overall hit the spot but not likely to continue to be a regular in our rotation.
This diner is tucked away in a shopping plaza. I. could tell there's a lot of frequent diners because the serves knew almost everyone and their orders. Well portioned sizes and well priced.
Wow. Had breakfast here today as a first timer while working in the area. Bananas Foster waffle is the bomb. This the item to try but the pancakes and French toast also look fluffy and delectable. Don't forget to try the deep fried bacon; flavor intensified in this process. Omg. Service fast, coffee perfect. Old time diner feel. The best. Love it!
A friendly place for a weary traveler to land. The Uber ride over was worth it. Just the breakfast I needed to begin to turn a crappy start to the day around. I wanted a breakfast burrito without all the calories and carbs so I turned it into an omelette. What I didn't know in advance was this place is CASH ONLY but there is an atm in the back. There was a $3 fee.
AMAZING!! Small mom And pop dinner that keeps to its roots! Very welcoming for all types of people. If you want fairly priced breakfast/brunch this is the place to be. Make sure to bring cash because it's cash only(they do have an ATM on site). It was so quaint and calm. I enjoyed how nice the employees were. They were helping me navigate the menu to tell me their favorite choices and made great conversation with us! Everything was a great option on their menu. There was an elderly gentleman that began to fall leaving the establishment and the employees did everything they could to make sure he was supported and they didn't leave his side. It was so community focused and they genuinely care for their customers in ALL aspects. I will be back!
My absolute favorite breakfast diner (although they serve lunch as well), the food is on point and delicious. The only restaurant in St. Louis that we have found that can actually lightly scramble eggs correctly! The servers are all sweet and kind and attentive. Service is fast. The place is clean and well lit. A place where regulars go and while everyone may not know your name, you're remembered!
Traditional little diner. We arrived for lunch and the place was very busy. I couldn't pass on ordering breakfast for lunch. I got 2 buttermilk pancakes and I added two scrambled eggs. Very efficient place. I noticed the flow and it's impressive. Our food was delivered nice and hot. Everything tasted good. *** Cash only, no credit cards accepted The diner is in a large strip mall so there's plenty of parking.
We absolutely love this place! Melinda, Sandy, Trinity and the crew always make us feel like more than customers- more like family! We moved to OFallon recently and gladly drive 20 minutes to get some of their biscuits and gravy and the best pancakes in St. Louis. Great ambience, 50s diner feel is just our vibe. If you haven't been, you're missing out on Olivette's best gem.
